What Dyno Club is
Dyno Club is a logbook for indoor bouldering and a community around the gym you climb at, provided by its developer, based in Budapest, Hungary. These terms are the agreement between you and us; by creating an account you accept them.
Who can use it
You need an account, and you need to be old enough to hold one where you live — the minimum is 16, 15, 14 or 13 depending on your country, and the privacy policy lists them. An account is personal: do not share it, and do not create one in someone else's name.
Posting a challenge at a climbing gym, where other climbers can see it and join, is for climbers aged 18 and over. Challenges just for you, or for a crew you run, are open to every account.
Your account
You are responsible for what is posted under your name and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us at official@dynoclub.app if you think someone else has got into your account. You can delete your account from inside the app at any time.
What you log, and what is shared
Your climbs are yours. You can export all of them, free, at any time, and nothing in these terms takes that away.
Problems, gyms and set batches you add are different: they describe a wall other people climb on, so they become part of a shared catalogue and stay there. If you delete your account they remain, with your name removed.
What you write — notes, beta, condition reports — stays yours. You give us the licence we need to store it, sync it to your devices and show it to the climbers who can see what it is attached to, and nothing more. A note on a climb travels with that climb’s record, so while your logbook is visible it is visible too.
A challenge you post at a climbing gym, or for a crew you run, is shared with the climbers who can see it: its name, what counts, how long it runs, any description or rules you write, and your display name as its author. You can withdraw it at any time, which ends it for everyone taking part; their climbs stay in their logbooks. A challenge you make just for yourself is seen by nobody else.
Log honestly
Log your own climbs, as they happened. The logbook only means anything if it is true, and a flash you did not flash outranks climbers who were honest. Fabricated ascents are a reason for us to act on an account.
Acceptable use
Do not harass, abuse or impersonate anyone. Do not post content that would be unacceptable said out loud in a busy gym. Do not spam, fake activity, scrape the service, or try to break, overload or reverse-engineer it.
Moderation
We can remove content, or suspend or close an account, when these terms or the content guidelines are broken. We will always prefer the smallest action that fixes the problem.
How we moderate. Text that other climbers can read — names, written beta, notes, gym and problem names, crew and event titles, challenge names and descriptions — is checked automatically before it is posted and refused, with the reason shown, if it matches our list of slurs and abuse. That check is the only automated tool we use. Nothing is profiled, and no decision about an account is ever taken by software alone: everything beyond that filter is a person reading a report.
Reporting and blocking. You can report a climber, a climb, a piece of written beta, or a challenge someone posted from inside the app, and you can block another climber — blocking works in both directions, so neither of you sees the other. We review reports within 48 hours.
If we act against your account or your content, we will tell you what we did, why, which rule it was under, whether a person or the filter decided it, and how to disagree — reply to official@dynoclub.app and a person will read it. We will withhold that only where telling you would put someone at risk or where the law requires us to.
Contact point. official@dynoclub.app is our single electronic point of contact, both for you and for Member State authorities, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services. We accept messages in English and Hungarian.
Availability
We try to keep Dyno Club running and your data safe, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of faults. The app is built to work offline precisely so that our servers being down does not stop you logging a climb.
We may change or withdraw features. If we ever shut the service down we will tell you in advance and leave export working, so that nothing of yours goes with it.
Liability
Dyno Club is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data you could have exported. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Climbing is dangerous. Dyno Club records what you climbed; it does not assess whether a climb, a hold, a mat or a wall is safe. That judgement is yours and the gym's.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top and, where the change matters, tell you in the app before it takes effect. Carrying on using Dyno Club after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Hungary. If you are a consumer, that choice does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in. You may bring proceedings in the courts of Hungary or in the courts of the country where you live; we will bring any proceedings against you only in the courts of the country where you live.
